Welcome to our political website. I'm Joe Pilchesky, the person directly responsible for everything you will read here. Thank you for taking the time to come here.

The Scranton Political Times Message Board is where citizens are sharing information, comments and opinions regarding corrupt government officials, employees and crony campaign contributors in our area. No one is protected here, from janitors to judges to commissioners, everyone is fair game. Click on the message board link and see what's going on. The only purpose of this website is to expose government corruption, any corruption involving anyone. This site is not politically affiliated with any party, and it never shall be. A spade gets called a spade here. That's been its focus since its inception in April of 2005. You may have read about this site in the paper, or heard about it on the TV or radio. The media is hardly kind in its reference to it, but that's only because it is jealous that the truth gets printed here. This site has become very popular as a place to go to read the truth about those raping the Scranton residents and taxpayers. The newspaper is not happy about its existence, but why should it be? This website has often exposed stories and inside information that the Scranton Times-Tribune refuses to publish because it blemishes Mayor Doherty's image. Unfortunately for the Scranton Times-Tribune, so much of the mayor's corrupt acts have been posted on the message board that he is regarded more as a political leper than anything else these days. Few want to be seen in his company and many democrats have distanced themselves from him, and well they should.

Our city has been victimized by a brutally corrupt and selfish man who, unfortunately, is the mayor, Christopher A. Doherty. He promised us a world of efficiency and accountability when he ran for office, but what we got was a world of deceit, corruption, lies, backstabbing and the most reckless spending spree of any single mayor in the history of the state of Pennsylvania. He now has us buried under an enormous mountain of debt that is approaching $300,000,000.00, the highest debt of any city in the state. But, with what to show for it? Nothing! Mayor Doherty could not have achieved this outrageously corrupt task on his own. He needed help, a lot of help. He got it in many ways, from Governor Rendell to Senator Mellow to a rubber stamp council to a flock of underhanded, unethical and corrupt people he hired in his cabinet. The most support he got was from the worst place possible for the citizens; the Scranton Times-Tribune. Its owners, the Lynetts, have either concealed one corrupt act after the other, printed half the truth or completely spun the truth to insulate the mayor from blame. The Scranton Times-Tribune has gone as low as to publicly attack the citizens who are trying to expose corruption. Political cartoons by John Cole have often belittled and degraded citizens when exercising their rights to free speech. It's shameful when you realize it's the citizens who keep the paper afloat. That's why so many have cancelled the paper; you should, too. Take a stand against this insulting disrespect.

The mayor has used our city, every taxpayer penny and every asset we own to try to buy his way to higher office. In doing so, he has financially ruined us for at least the next 30 years. His name will forever be attached to reckless greed, mass corruption and incredibly irresponsible administration. Many wonder why the FBI has not entered the picture. He has close friends on the current city council who give him whatever he wants in terms of money. Council President Judy Gatelli, Councilwoman Sherry Fanucci and Councilman Bob McGoff are unethical Doherty cronies who turn their backs on the taxpayers and continually give the mayor tens of millions of dollars without even knowing where it is going. Judy Gatelli is at the core of it, and most responsible. She's the two-faced, betrayer to the people as council president. She alone opened the vault for the mayor and shoveled millions into his pocket, and we have to suffer with raised taxes now because of her. But, what did she get in return? We don't know, at least not yet. These are some of the issues discussed on the message board, and much, much more.

These are stories regarding various actions and certain conditions in the city, and things our corrupt mayor has done behind our backs. Over time, more and more topics will appear here, so consider returning from time to time and check it out. The information posted here is to enlighten you, but you can also enlighten me. Join the message board and share what you may know about wrongdoing in our city. You can do it anonymously and confidentiality is assured. Every piece of the puzzle helps, and you may have an important piece, no matter how small you think it may be.

Enjoy your free speech, that's all you have as both tool and weapon to defend against government. There is such a thing as too late, so if you know something, speak up now. That's the purpose of our Constitution. This country was born and raised on the revolutionary spirit, and that's the only thing that will keep it honest. Use your rights that so many others died to protect.

Not in any particular order, you need these; a variety of very corrupt players: 1) a Mayor; 2) City Council Solicitor; 3) a Rubberstamp Council Majority; 4) Newspaper; 5) Redevelopment Authority; 6) two Lawyers; 7); a wealthy corrupt Jesuit University; 8) several Common Pleas judges; 9) a Senator; 10) House Representatives and perhaps, 11) a governor and, 12) perhaps an Appellate judge. It's a very ambitious illegal undertaking, but with all the right players lined up, this is a go. Cronies and Phonies Mayor Doherty wasted little time filling City Hall with his crony friends, and a lot of them were phonies who had no idea what they were doing, so he hired consultants to do it for them. Who are they? How did we suffer? What did they get paid? It's all right here.

The Casey Garage Mystery The Hilton was required by Zoning Laws to prove it had secured parking for nearly 200 spaces. No problem. Mayor Doherty provided the Casey Garage with nearly $300,00.00 in repairs. The deal was sealed, but then the Casey was demolished, and so was the future of the Hilton. No parking accomodations did the Hilton in, but who did the Casey Garage in? Now, the city stands to lose $3,000,000.00 on the deal. Was it bad planning, or did things go exactly as planned?

Arbitration Losses and Wasted Money It has cost the city of Scranton over $700,000.00 to fight and lose arbitrations with the city unions. Every arbitration was caused by Mayor Doherty's breach of the contracts. Senseless isn't even the word for it, reckless describes it better.

Responsibilities: Handle tens of millions of dollars, among other things. When recently asked for records by a taxpayer group, she sent a written response that stated, " I refuse." Sara knows where millions of dollars went, and she's the only one who knows. She keeps her lips tight...........sort of.

The Destruction of a Neighborhood Imagine waking up one day and suddenly 50 heavy trucks are running down your street from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm every day, and your scenery now includes 500,000 concrete blocks, and dust now covers your home, inside and out. Add to that a huge plant, Daron Northeast, that operates until midnight and the zoning process was completely by-passed.
