As if the raw sewage and Davis Trail scandals weren't enough to immediately fire Bob (Hitler) Scopeletti, Doherty now faces the exposure of the rest of Scopeletti's leadership abilities to further reveal that Doherty's highly touted "Restoration of the Park" campaign theme was a total and complete fraud right from the drawing board. Doherty didn't fire the unqualifed crony, Scopeletti, after the raw sewage scandal, but then again, the Scranton Times oppressed the public from that story, didn't they? Responsible journalism? Not hardly. You won't see any of these pictures published in the Scranton Times, either. But, the Times will repeatedly tell you that Doherty has shown strong leadership and has "Restored the Park".  There are reasons why he CAN'T fire Scopeletti. Think about it.
Have you been to the Greenhouse?  Lately? I hadn't been there in a few years and the Doherty/Scopeletti style neglect that I found there didn't shock me after what I already witnessed at other locations in Nay Aug park, and, at other parks.  It was, however, very confounding given the fact that I read in the City of Scranton's website that Mayor Doherty spent $100,000.00 on renovations at the John Cleland Greenhouse.  That's a lot of renovating. I expected to see a beautiful green house when I got there.
Look at the pictures below.  Maybe you can see $100,000.00 in renovations, because I couldn't see a hundred dollars worth. So, where did the money go Mr. Doherty?  Mr. Scopeletti? How do you boys explain this crumbling mess that you referred to as a "restored" greenhouse?
The city condemns houses that are in better shape than this greenhouse. Perhaps the city code enforcement officer needs to visit properties cared for by Mayor Chris Doherty and the Director of Parks, at $50,000.00 a year, Bob Scopeletti?

LIKE MAYOR DOHERTY HAS, REPEATEDLY!!!

This is page one of several pictorial pages on park buildings and facilities linked together as a series. At the bottom of this page are the links to other pages exposing the neglected and abused conditions of other city recreation properties, which conditions Doherty repeatedly lied to us about. Surf through all of them, see the unsafe and threatening conditions, get the truth that you'd never get from the Scranton (Oppression) Times, a staunch Doherty financial supporter. It's a truth you'd never get from Chris Doherty, either. Click on any picture to enlarge it.

You're about to see what you get for.......

Dumping ground for someone's brush

Did Mr. Doherty think that he could repeatedly say that he "restored" the greenhouse and no one would check?  I'm glad I did.  I hope you're happy I did, too. A little truth is good for the soul, expecially when you're in the voting booth. Imagine if I didn't. None of us would know, would we? Politicians aren't used to having taxpayers check their performance and publishing their findings, so they take risks by taking credit for things they didn't do.  Bad risk in this situation. Doherty took a lot of bad risks by taking credit for projects he didn't initiate, didn't he? Matter-in-fact, as a councilman, he intentionally sabotaged the Market St. Bridge project and wrongfully delayed it for years so that all of Jim Connor's efforts would look like his efforts. Doherty did nothing but made a political (Mellow) phone call to sabotage it and then hit redial to put it back on schedule after he became mayor. That project would have cost tens of thousands less under Connors, and the people could have been using it for several years now.
Funny how other projects like that get done quickly, within a few months, while this one just dragged on for over a year, kind of like Doherty dangling it around at the right time for political manipulation.  What a shock, it'll be done right before the election. It could have been done years ago if he really cared about the people instead of using it to insult our intelligence. We have ourselves, the taxpayers, to thank for that project, and certainly not Chris Doherty.
  Enjoy the pictures.
