Who is Sara Hailstone?

We start. Sara Hailstone is currently the Executive Director of OECD for the city of Scranton, a position she had no experience or background with and is paid $65,000.00. She's also the sister-in-law to another Mayor Doherty appointee, City Solicitor Rob Farrell, who just happens to be the husband of Sara's sister, Scranton Magistrate Alyce Hailstone-Farrell. Her father, Atty. Andrew Hailstone solicited for political donations for Mayor Doherty and has received a lot of legal work from the city. As a family, they do very well for themselves on taxpayer money. Suffice it to say they owe the taxpayers a lot of gratitude and thanks for their lofty, high paid positions. This is a family that should be expressing that thanks and showing us respect and gratitude, and not scheming and conspiring to steal a precious constitutional right from us such as freedom of speech.

As the Director of OECD, tens of millions of dollars have passed through Sara Hailstone's hands. Before being appointed to that important position, she worked for the Limited Clothing Store and planned parties for Scranton Tomorrow. Somewhere along the line, she met Chris Doherty and somehow, being totally unqualified and inexperienced, she became the Director of OECD. It raised the brows of many who knew Sara had no qualifications for the position. Consultants had to be hired to do much of her work. Many rumors have floated around that the mayor and Sara were extremely close emotionally, and had possibly been intimate as lovers.

Since May of 2005 this website and message board focused on many of Mayor Doherty's crony appointees, as well as the mayor himself, in terms of discussing their totally incompetent and irresponsible conduct, and job performance. He has hired more incompetent and unqualifed people than any previous mayor. Many of those crony hires were corrupt and came under intense scrutiny by participants of the message board. One by one, many of the mayor's crony hires were exposed as frauds or incompetent. When Sara Hailstone became the focus of such scrutiny and criticism, many people in her family immediately went into action trying to silence this message board and keep any information about Sara from coming forward. They wanted to protect her from adverse exposure. That effort was a conspiracy in nature and resulted in the message board being closed down, or suspended, by request of the Pa. State Police (PSP) on October 7, 2005. The PSP stated to the message board provider that a harrassment investigation was in progress because it was stated to the PSP by a third party, none other than Magistrate Alyce Hailstone-Farrell, that Sara felt there were messages on the board that threatened her safety.

However, that action by the PSP was inappropriate because it failed to follow proper legal procedure. No court order was obtained. That misconduct by the PSP subsequently resulted in a federal lawsuit against it that was filed by the Administrator of the message board, which lawsuit also attracted the attention of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) out of Philadelphia. The ACLU then joined the lawsuit. Legal actions immediately taken against the PSP included an injunction to release the message board from its suspension status, and for the Federal Court, Judge Caputo, to order the PSP to never interfere again with our free speech without first obtaining a justified Court Order. Those actions were successful. In addition to that, the ACLU obtained various ongoing reports and other documents from the PSP concerning the case, which domuments contained information about who initiated the action with the authorities, and so on. You should know who the players are in this scheme and conspiracy to take away our constitutional rights to freedom of speech. It is important for you to know which network of people and officials who work for you as state, county or city employees participated in this scheme to violate your most basic right and priviledge - to speak your mind. Hundreds of thousands of brave soldiers died for us to have that right, and here is a handful of corrupt-minded, arrogant thieves conspiring to steal that right from you and impose an oppressive indignity. It is the ultimate insult to each one of us.

The story continues with a posting I put up that appeared on the dohertydeceit.com message board on October 3, 2005 that sought information about Sara Hailstone. Because she was often interfering with our rights to review public information being held in her office, I believed it was possible that she might have something in her private or professional life that might have been influencing her decisions to be so uncooperative with the public. So, I posted a message that sought information about her life, and the actions by her family members and authorities that followed was nothing short of corrupt, unethical and illegal conduct designed to keep us from finding out things about her that we deserve to know as the taxpaying public.

Soon after I posted that request for information, Sara's sister, Magistrate Alyce Hailstone-Farrell made contact with the Pa. State Police on behalf of Sara, wanting to file harassment charges against me. Mind you, Sara is more than adult enough to make the call herself, but she didn't, because a call from a magistrate obviously carries influence and importance.

Magistrate Hailstone-Farrell contacted Trooper Fozard from her office on October 5, 2005. The extent of her conversation with the trooper was documented by him and it can be viewed by CLICKING HERE. (The documents are not particularly clear or easy to read, but the important parts are legible).

Magistrate Hailstone-Farrell, in her conversation with Trooper Fozard, advised the trooper to contact her brother, Atty. James Hailstone for more details, which the trooper did the same day. The conversation with Atty. James Hailstone then led to conversations with First Asst. District Attorney Gene Talerico. Eventually they all met at the DA's Office the next day to discuss a plan regarding filing charges relating to the content of the website concerning Sara. Trooper Fozard documented all those discussions and his report can be reviewed by CLICKING HERE.

Strangely enough, as you already read in Trooper Fozard's report involving DA Talerico, it was DA Talerico who stated to the trooper that Sparklit, the message board provider, would agree to remove the message board if a request was made by law enforcement. I may be off base here, but isn't DA Talerico law enforcement? Why did he ask the trooper to do that when he could have done it himself? The DA's office conducts investigations all the time. Why wasn't it conducting this one?

The story continues. According to the report by Trooper Fozard (the one you just read) DA Talerico advised the Hailstones to send a letter to me and my wife asking us to take down the messages involving Sara Hailstone, so, the Hailstones wrote a letter to us in that regard and had it hand delivered to us on October 7th, 2005 in the am. The letter claimed there was threatening language on the message board, it can be viewed by CLICKING HERE. I immediately responded to that letter by fax, wherein I asked them to direct me to any kind of threatening language on the message board. You can review my responsive letter by CLICKING HERE. The Hailstones never responded to it, instead, shortly after they got my letter, the message board was shut down by the provider, Sparklit, after the PSP requested it to do so. Oddly, while Sara Hailstone is the central benefactor in this whole scheme and conspiracy to protect her from public scrutiny, she never filed a complaint prior to the message board being shut down. One has to wonder why. Prior to, at the time of, and after the message board was shut down, Trooper Fozard never interviewed myself, my wife or any of the posters on the message board. Makes you wonder why (again!). However, ten (10) days after the board was shut down, Fozard and another trooper finally interviewed Sara Hailstone at City Hall. She failed to cite what language existed anywhere in the message board that was threatening. It was very brief, and it was also documented by Trooper Fozard. It can be viewed by CLICKING HERE.

On October 12, 2005 a lawsuit was filed by my wife and I against the PSP for violation of the First Amendment. From that lawsuit, various other documents were obtained to include a statement from Sparklit, the message board provider. According to Greg Higginson, the supervisor for Sparklit, he was first contacted directly by James Hailstone with a demand to take the message board down. James Hailstone claimed my wife and I were doing illegal acts, but Sparklit reviewed the message board and refused to take any action. Then, Sparklit was contacted by the DA, Gene Talerico, and his verbal request to have the message board taken down was denied after Higginson and his boss again reviewed the messages about Sara Hailstone. Then, Sparklit got faxes from the Hailstones stating that my wife and I were doing illegal things. Sparklit still held their ground and refused to take the message board down. When the Hailstones and Talerico couldn't get the board shut down, they turned to the State Police to do it, which it did by a faxed communication, and the message board was subsequently shut down. After all was said and done, both the DA's Office and Trooper Fozard agreed that there was insufficient evidence to file charges. The case stayed open and under investigation until December 15, 2005 and even by that time, no charges had been filed. That's the amazing story of how a corrupt political family named Hailstone attacked our constitutional rights to free speech. Disturbing isn't it? We pay them, and on our time, they attack us. I hope you learned something from this experience. It is our pleasure to share it with you, but sad that it happened, especially for the Hailstones. They live in beautiful homes, have good paying jobs, social status and political power. But, they were pigs. That wasn't enough for them, was it?
